## Title: Communications & Marketing Officer

About the Organization

Lagos Food Bank Initiative is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger and supporting food security in our community. We work closely with local partners, donors, and volunteers to provide nutritious food to individuals and families in need.

Position Overview

We're looking for a Communications & Marketing Officer to help share our story, engage the community, and strengthen our brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies to increase awareness of our programs and impact
  • Manage website content and newsletters
  • Create compelling stories, press releases, and campaign materials that highlight our mission and community impact
  • Coordinate media outreach and build relationships with local press and community organizations
  • Support fundraising campaigns with creative digital and print materials
  • Maintain consistent brand voice across all communication channels
  • Assist in planning and promoting outreach activities
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in communications or marketing (nonprofit experience is an advantage)
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and content creation skills
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express)
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for community work and the mission of ending hunger

Location Requirement

Must reside within close proximity to Lagos to facilitate on-site collaboration, community events, and media engagements.
