Communications Officer

An established company is recruiting for the following position. Position Summary - The Communications Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining consistent messaging that supports the Food Bank’s mission while creating visibility and promotion for events and ongoing operations. This role serves as a liaison between the organization, the public, and the media to ensure our brand remains top of mind and positioned for growth. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Communications & Branding - Content Creation & Media Relations - Digital & Social Media Management - Internal Communications & Engagement Required Qualifications: & Skills - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or related field. - Proven experience in communications, public relations, or marketing (nonprofit experience preferred). - Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. - Experience managing social media platforms and digital campaigns. - Proficiency in design and publishing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, etc.). - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with media and stakeholders. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. - Experience tracking analytics and measuring communications impact.
