Cold Room Technician at Aldelano Organic Foods Ltd

About the Role

An established company is seeking an experienced Cold Room Technician to design, install, and maintain custom refrigeration systems and cold storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction and assembly of custom polyurethane (PU) panel cold rooms
• Accurately size and select refrigeration systems for various spatial requirements
• Perform complete installation, brazing, vacuum evacuation, and refrigerant charging
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair major components, including compressors and condensers
• Commission systems to ensure they meet required temperature setpoints and energy efficiency standards
• Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations, including proper refrigerant handling
• Apply knowledge in solar technology and installations, including battery repairs (lithium-ion and lead-acid) and electronics repair

Education & Certification

• Technical Diploma or equivalent certification in Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in refrigeration and solar installation and service

Essential Skills

• Expertise in PU panel cold room construction, sealing, and framing
• Proven technical proficiency in electronics repair, including inverters and batteries
• Skilled in copper line fabrication, including brazing, flaring, and leak testing
• Ability to read electrical schematics and service control circuits
• Experience diagnosing and repairing semi-hermetic and scroll compressors
• Proficiency with refrigeration tools, including manifold gauges, vacuum pumps, and recovery machines
