Job Summary

The Cold Room Engineer will be responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of cold room systems and refrigeration equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cold room systems, refrigeration units, compressors, condensers, and evaporators
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure efficient system operation
• Monitor temperature controls, electrical components, and cooling systems for proper functionality
• Diagnose faults and provide timely corrective actions to prevent breakdowns
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and spare parts usage
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory guidelines
• Provide technical support during cold room upgrades or expansions
• Travel to Ibadan when required for maintenance or emergency repairs

Requirements

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or related field
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in cold room engineering or industrial refrigeration
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems, electrical controls, and mechanical components
• Ability to diagnose and fix technical faults independently
• Willingness to travel to Ibadan as needed
• Good communication and reporting skills
