Client Relationship Officer-Mid Level

About the Role

Voedsel Capital Limited is seeking a qualified Client Relationship Officer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this mid-level position, you will drive high-impact sales, manage client relationships, and oversee credit facilitation while maintaining strong portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact sales by identifying prospective clients, offering loans and financial solutions, and achieving monthly loan disbursement and Proof of Funds targets
• Undertake credit assessment and prepare appraisal reports according to prescribed guidelines, including desk reviews and onsite due diligence
• Analyze financial data to assess creditworthiness and maintain adequate documentation of all credit cases for approval
• Capture KYC data and financial information into the institutional credit management system
• Undertake portfolio management to identify default triggers, assess loan penalties, and implement mitigation measures for at-risk portfolios
• Initiate collection mechanisms and business recovery measures according to policy
• Provide financial advice to clients to support their business and credit needs
• Prepare credit facility offer letters outlining terms, conditions, and covenants for managerial review
• Identify and document innovative process improvements for the Credit and Business Development Department
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and effective market strategies
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the line manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualification
• 3–4 years of experience in banking, finance, or investment sector as a Credit Officer or direct sales agent
• Robust knowledge of small business financing
• Proven ability to achieve sales and revenue targets
• Strong communication and presentation skills with excellent reporting abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel) and financial analysis tools
• Completion of NYSC (National Youth Service Corps)
