Cleaner at Equity Specialist Hospitals and Diagnostic Centre

About the Role

We are seeking a hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team at Equity Specialist Hospitals and Diagnostic Centre in Lagos, Nigeria.

The ideal candidate will ensure the hospital environment remains clean, safe, and welcoming for patients, staff, and visitors. This role is essential in maintaining the hospital's high standards of hygiene and infection control.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect all hospital areas, including wards, offices, consultation rooms, laboratories, restrooms, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, dust, and polish floors, furniture, and surfaces regularly
• Properly dispose of medical and non-medical waste following hospital protocols
• Refill supplies such as soaps, tissues, and sanitizers in restrooms and staff areas
• Report any damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the Facility Manager or Administrative Manager
• Assist in setting up rooms and ensuring they are properly prepared for patients and staff
• Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control procedures
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are properly used, maintained, and stored
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working in sensitive hospital areas

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience as a Cleaner, preferably in a hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare environment
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment use
• Understanding of infection control and hygiene practices
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual cleaning tasks
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude toward teamwork
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions

Compensation

₦60,000 - ₦70,000 per month
