Position Overview:
- A Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in various environments, such as offices, commercial buildings, schools, or residential properties, to ensure a safe and healthy environment for occupants.
- As a Cleaner, you will be tasked with performing cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Your role involves following cleaning protocols, using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, floors, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, dust, and debris.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
- Dust furniture, shelves, and other surfaces to remove dirt and allergens.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces using appropriate cleaning solutions.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report any malfunctions or damage.
- Adhere to cleaning schedules and complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
- Follow instructions and guidelines for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
- Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with other cleaning staff to ensure consistent and efficient cleaning operations.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients, tenants, or occupants.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
