Civil & Structural Draftsman at Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civil & Structural Draftsman to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, plans, and layouts related to civil and structural aspects of our combined cycle power plant project. This includes foundations, structural supports, piping supports, building layouts, and other civil infrastructure elements, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed civil and structural drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software as required by the project
• Develop foundation layouts, structural steel details, reinforcements, and concrete detailing for various plant components such as turbine foundations, cooling towers, and electrical buildings
• Interpret engineering sketches, blueprints, and specifications to create precise draft drawings
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineers to incorporate design changes and ensure alignment across disciplines
• Update and maintain drawing documentation and ensure version control in line with project standards
• Support site engineers with as-built drawings and modifications during construction phases
• Ensure all drafting work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and project quality requirements
• Participate in design review meetings and incorporate feedback into drawings

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• 6–10 years of experience in drafting for power plants, heavy industrial projects, or large-scale civil and structural works
• Proficient in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) and Revit
• Basic knowledge of STAAD.Pro and other drafting software
• Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles related to power plant infrastructure
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as IS, ASTM, AISC, or equivalent international standards
