Civil Engineer at Matosi Nigeria Limited

Role Summary

We are expanding our dynamic team and seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to execute civil engineering works across diverse project sites. You will handle design interpretation, site supervision, structural analysis, and coordination with other disciplines to deliver quality infrastructure on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret civil and structural drawings and translate them into executable site activities
• Supervise civil works including earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, drainage, and road construction
• Conduct site surveys, setting out, and quality inspections to ensure work meets design specifications
• Prepare material take-offs, method statements, and technical reports for civil scope
• Coordinate with subcontractors, material suppliers, and other engineering disciplines on site
• Support Quantity Surveyors with measurement, variation assessments, and interim valuations
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian building codes, standards, and local authority requirements
• Travel to urban and remote project locations as required

Required Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• 8+ years of hands-on civil engineering experience in Nigeria with demonstrated site delivery
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods: reinforced concrete, structural steel, earthworks, and drainage systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project or equivalent scheduling tools
• Ability to read and interpret structural and civil engineering drawings

Preferred Qualifications

• COREN registration or progress toward it
• Experience with oil & gas, EPC projects, or other regulated environments
• Tendering experience: BoQ take-off, pricing, and bid documentation
