Civil Engineer

Position Overview:   - We are seeking an experienced Site Civil Construction Engineer to oversee all civil and structural works for the construction of our 3,000MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Akwa Ibom State. - The successful candidate will ensure that all site activities are executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in strict compliance with technical specifications and quality standards. Position Overview: - Supervise daily on-site civil works, including earthworks, piling, deep foundations for heavy turbines, structural steel erection, and industrial building construction. - Ensure all civil works comply with project specifications, international codes (e.g., ACI, ASTM), and Nigerian environmental regulations. - Review construction drawings, technical specifications, and method statements to ensure accurate execution on-site. - Monitor contractor performance against the project schedule, reporting progress, bottlenecks, and potential delays to the Project Manager. - Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols on site. Required Qualifications: & Skills - B.Sc./B.Eng/HND in Civil Engineering. - 6–10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 3 years specifically on large-scale power plant projects (Combined Cycle preferred). - Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, geotechnical requirements for heavy machinery foundations, and industrial infrastructure. - Must be willing to reside on-site or in Akwa Ibom State.
