Civil Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview:

• The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, supervising, and executing construction projects under the company’s real estate portfolio.

• The role ensures that building structures meet architectural standards, quality specifications, cost efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

• The candidate will coordinate sites, contractors, materials, and ensure timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities: Project Planning & Execution:

• Develop, interpret, and review building plans, structural drawings, and project designs.

• Plan and monitor project schedules, manpower, materials, and cost estimates.

• Handle site layout, foundation design, structural support systems, drainage, and finishing stages.

• Supervise ongoing construction work to ensure alignment with design, quality standards, and timelines.

• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, MEP engineers, vendors, and contractors.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure materials and workmanship comply with building codes and standards.

• Conduct regular site inspections, testing, and quality assurance checks.

• Enforce safety standards and risk management procedures on site.

• Liaise with regulatory authorities to obtain approvals, permits, and inspections.

Contractor & Resource Management:

• Evaluate subcontractor performance and manage site labour.

• Measure work progress for valuation, bill of quantities (BOQ), and certification of payment.

• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and submit updates to management.

• Recommend cost-saving methods and innovative engineering solutions.

Technical & Administrative Duties:

• Prepare work drawings, structural calculations, and site documentation.

• Manage procurement and materials usage to prevent stock wastage.

• Resolve technical and structural issues during construction execution.

• Support project handover, snag listing, and completion documentation.

Required Qualifications: & Requirements

• B.Sc. / HND in Civil Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years site experience in Real Estate / Building Construction.

• COREN Certification or professional membership is an added advantage.

• Strong knowledge of structural design, BOQ preparation, and construction materials.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project or similar engineering tools.
