About the Role

We are seeking a qualified educator to inspire and engage college students in the study of history, civic responsibility, governmental systems, and critical thinking about political processes. This position offers the opportunity to bring history and current affairs to life while fostering informed, engaged citizens.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach History, Civic Education, and Government courses to college-level students
• Develop engaging lesson plans that cover historical periods, political systems, and civic duties
• Facilitate discussions on current events, governance, and social issues
• Teach critical thinking, research, and analytical writing skills
• Prepare students for examinations and assessments
• Create assignments that encourage historical inquiry and civic engagement
• Use diverse teaching methods including debates, case studies, and primary source analysis
• Evaluate student performance through essays, projects, and examinations
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic progress
• Participate in departmental meetings and school activities
• Stay current with curriculum requirements and educational standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Social Studies, or related field
• Teaching certification or qualification in Civic Education
• Strong knowledge of historical events, political systems, and governmental structures
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to engage and motivate college-level students
• Experience with various teaching methodologies and assessment techniques
• Good classroom management skills
• Passion for civic education

• Master's degree in a related field
