Position Overview

TAAS Group of Schools is seeking an experienced and passionate Civic Education / National Values / History / Government Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, classroom management skills, and a proven track record of nurturing students to achieve academic excellence and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Civic Education, National Values, History, and Government in alignment with the school curriculum and national standards
• Prepare engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and teaching aids to meet diverse learning needs
• Foster critical thinking, civic responsibility, and strong moral values in students
• Maintain discipline, encourage participation, and create an inclusive classroom environment
• Assess students' performance through tests, assignments, and examinations, and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with other teachers and school administrators to support students' academic and social development
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and extracurricular activities
• Uphold the school's vision, mission, and values

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Education, Political Science, History, Social Studies, or related fields
• 5–10 years teaching experience in Civic Education, National Values, History, and/or Government
• Must reside in Ibadan, preferably within or close to the Apata region for easy accessibility
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
• Familiarity with WAEC/NECO curricula (added advantage)
• Passionate about teaching and committed to student success
