Christian Religious Studies / Catholic Social Teacher at Gonzaga Jesuit College

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Christian Religious Studies and Catholic Social Teaching (CRS/CST) teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching across relevant grade levels, nurturing students in faith, values, and moral responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging CRS/CST lessons aligned with the Nigerian curriculum and Jesuit educational philosophy
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments
• Foster spiritual growth, moral development, and ethical awareness among students
• Encourage respect, tolerance, and understanding of diverse religious perspectives
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate faith and values into the wider school curriculum
• Participate actively in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Education, or related field (minimum)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
• Proven teaching experience in CRS/CST at the secondary school level
• Experience as a WAEC examiner (mandatory)
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
