## Title: Chinese Translator

Job Summary

Nine Stars Limited is seeking a qualified Chinese Translator to support our international business operations in Lagos. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with basic Yoruba communication skills. You will be responsible for translating spoken and written communication, assisting with cross-cultural interactions, and supporting administrative tasks. The successful candidate must be computer literate, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Translate documents, emails, and written materials from Chinese to English and vice versa
  • Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, calls, and discussions involving Chinese-speaking clients or partners
  • Assist in communicating basic information in Yoruba when required
  • Ensure accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and clarity in all translations
  • Support international business communication and maintain smooth language flow
  • Assist with administrative tasks requiring language support
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information
  • Work closely with the communications and operations team to ensure effective cross-language collaboration
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Minimum HSK certification
  • Proven experience as a translator or interpreter (advantageous)
  • Strong proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin)
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Ability to communicate at a basic level in Yoruba
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email tools, and basic digital communication platforms)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Versatility and ability to provide personal assistant support
