Chinese Translator

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview: - We are seeking an experienced Chinese Translator to join our team on a full-time on-site job arrangement. - The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both Chinese and English, with the ability to accurately translate and interpret in both languages. - The role requires someone who can hear, speak and translate the Chinese language. Key Responsibilities: - Provide accurate oral and written translations from Chinese to English and vice versa. - Interpret spoken communication at various occasions, on-site interactions between Chinese and non-Chinese speaking staff. - Facilitate communication between the security team and Chinese management. - Translate security documents, patrol reports and emergency plans. - Assist in managing security patrol and ensure timely communication of emergencies - Assist the Head of the production department in the supervision of daily activities at the factory site. - Duly monitor all production activities and ensure the production staff carry out their duties efficiently - Translate production documents, meeting contents and technical training materials. - Act as a cultural bridge between the Chinese and Nigerians, facilitating clear communication and mutual understanding. Requirements: - Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 2 - 3 years of experience. - Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in a mining, business or technical environment. - Fluent in both Chinese and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages. - Fluency in speaking and hearing Hausa is a plus - Experience studying or working in China is a plus - Should be responsible and have good management skills.
