About the Role
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the smart card-making company, ensuring efficiency in production, quality control, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
The COO will develop and implement strategic plans, manage resources, and drive profitability while maintaining high standards in operations, design, printing, and distribution processes.
As a key member of the Management Team, the COO oversees corporate services responsibilities, monitors service contracts, and manages key relationships. The COO reports to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
Business Management & Planning
- Lead the development, execution, and maintenance of sound business and operational planning systems, processes, and activities, including business continuity plans and project management systems
- Establish, monitor, and manage insurance needs, operations budgets, disability services payments, and project management budget processes
- Plan and manage IT and communications systems, including internet access, disaster recovery, backup, hardware, and associated policies and procedures
Business Strategy
- Oversee business strategy planning and execution
- Work closely with the Managing Director on business strategies, organizational structure, and initiatives
Policies & Procedures
- Oversee and refine B2B policies and procedures
- Ensure the policy register is updated and policies are understood by staff through training and induction measures
Legal & Compliance
- In conjunction with the production team, ensure the company is compliant with all relevant legislation
- Oversee legislation compliance reviews
- Maintain compliance with government policies and regulations
Corporate & Organizational
- Collaborate with the Managing Director on corporate and human resources matters
- Support health and wellbeing initiatives across the organization
