About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated Chief Legal Officer to provide strategic legal leadership and oversight across all corporate, regulatory, and operational matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice to the Board and Executive Management on corporate, regulatory, and contractual matters
• Oversee compliance with real estate, construction, corporate, and investment regulations
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents
• Develop and implement robust governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and negotiations
• Anticipate and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations
• Lead, mentor, and manage the in-house legal team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Barrister at Law (BL)
• Minimum of 10 years' post-call experience in corporate/commercial law, preferably with real estate exposure
• Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)
• Proven track record in handling high-value transactions, negotiations, and compliance matters
