## Title: Chief Content Officer
About the Role
An established company is seeking an experienced Chief Content Officer to lead content strategy and execution across all platforms. This role reports to the CEO and oversees editorial, digital media, and content teams to drive brand growth, audience engagement, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the overall content strategy to support brand growth, audience engagement, and business goals
- Lead editorial, NM TV, and digital media content teams to deliver high-quality, data-driven, and impactful content across all platforms
- Ensure content aligns with company voice, mission, and standards of accuracy and integrity
- Oversee planning and production of articles, podcasts, newsletters, webinars, and social media content
- Collaborate with the CEO, marketing, research, and content teams to align content with organizational priorities and campaigns
- Use analytics to measure content performance and drive continuous improvement through data insights
- Supervise and mentor editors, writers, and content producers to maintain high editorial standards and creative excellence
- Drive SEO, engagement, and distribution strategies to expand audience reach and influence
- Manage the editorial calendar and ensure timely publication of content reflecting major business, economic, and financial developments
- Monitor trends in digital publishing, financial journalism, and audience behavior to innovate new content formats and initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of proven experience in content leadership, ideally within media, finance, or digital publishing
- Strong editorial judgment and understanding of the Nigerian and global business landscape
- Demonstrable experience developing and managing a content strategy that drives measurable growth
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with a collaborative mindset
- Deep understanding of SEO, analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush), and digital distribution channels
- Strong communication, storytelling, and brand-building skills
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
