About the Role
La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team in Ondo State. The ideal candidate should be creative, organized, and dedicated to delivering high-quality meals while ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen. We welcome candidates with strong culinary skills and hands-on experience in food preparation.
Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen operations, meal planning, and food preparation
- Create and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Oversee food quality, taste, and presentation
- Ensure proper portion control and consistency in every dish served
- Supervise kitchen staff and assign daily tasks for smooth workflow
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety within the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal kitchen policies
- Manage food costs and minimize waste
- Coordinate meal service during peak hours to ensure timely delivery
- Perform other culinary duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Culinary Arts or related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a reputable restaurant, hotel, or resort
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle high-volume cooking
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- High level of personal hygiene and professionalism
- Must be a resident of Ondo City and its environs
