Chartered Accountant at Rifugio Communications

Overall Purpose of Job

Provide support to the finance function in managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company and assist in the management of the Finance Function.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform everyday bookkeeping activities
• Process invoices and cross-check each expense against corresponding documentation
• Document and record all payments
• Track payables and receivables
• Maintain the imprest system
• Manage inventory
• Manage petty cash and expense processing
• Process bank transactions and reconciliations, including daily bank POS reconciliations
• Process refunds and resolve billing disputes
• Ensure prompt invoicing and debt collection
• Support compilation, analysis, and approval of global monthly budgets for management consideration
• Assist in preparation of financial statements
• Comply with internal control procedures on a daily basis
• Support and review day-to-day work of the finance unit
• Participate in the selection of subordinate members of the Finance team
• Support payroll administration
• Support PAYE and administration of other taxes and statutory payments
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Finance Manager

Required Qualifications

• First degree in Accounting or related field
• ICAN or ACA Certification
• 2 to 5 years of cognate experience
