Responsibilities

• Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing comprehensive reports
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Document financial transactions by entering account information into accounting systems
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports
• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Maintain financial security by following internal controls
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years' experience as an accountant in a manufacturing company
• Sound knowledge of cost accounting, LIRS, and tax matters
• Experience with financial reporting requirements

Professional Certification

• ICAN or ACCA certification (added advantage)
