## Title: Centre Safety and Training Lead
Role Overview
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Lagos for a Centre Safety and Training Lead. The role sits at the intersection of instruction, coordination, and quality control and is ideal for someone who can teach, lead, and ensure that the training centre runs efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safety training courses in compliance with industry standards (HUET, BOSIET, FOET, Fire Safety, First Aid)
- Perform pre-session safety audits and equipment inspections
- Liaise with the on-site manager to coordinate daily operations including schedules, logistics, maintenance, and reporting
- Lead or participate in safety audits, emergency drills, and incident investigations
- Work closely with the training and maintenance teams to ensure facilities and equipment are fully operational
- Contribute to developing and improving company HSE policies, manuals, and procedures
- Conduct routine checks, drills, and spot inspections for safety and operational compliance
- Review and submit reports on training performance, incidents, and operational gaps
- Maintain detailed reports and records on SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools in coordination with Admin
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in oil & gas safety training
- Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
- NUPRC or OPITO instructor certification (strong advantage)
- Proven ability to assess risks and implement preventive measures
- Comfortable working in both classroom and field settings
- Demonstrated leadership or coordination experience within a training environment
- Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills
- Ability to balance authority with collaboration
