## Title: CDC Specialist / Application Support Officer

Position Overview

The CDC Specialist / Application Support Officer will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the organization's data capture and application systems. The role focuses on ensuring accurate and reliable data replication, database management, and seamless integration between applications using APIs. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in SQL, API integrations, and application support, ensuring data integrity and system reliability across business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support Change Data Capture (CDC) processes across databases and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data replication and synchronization pipelines
  • Write and execute SQL queries to validate captured data and ensure accuracy
  • Support integration of captured data with downstream applications via APIs
  • Maintain system health, perform preventive checks, and document incidents and resolutions
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, and business teams to optimize application performance
  • Assist in audits, security checks, and compliance reporting related to data capture
  • Provide guidance and support to junior technical staff as needed

Technical Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC) techniques and processes
  • Proficiency in SQL for database management and data validation
  • Experience with APIs and application integrations
  • Technical application support knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to analyze logs and identify root causes of technical issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Relevant certifications in databases, applications, or integration tools (advantageous)
