## Title: CBAM Officer

Job Overview

The Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) Officer will be responsible for managing the organization's compliance with the European Union Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) regulations. This role ensures accurate carbon emissions reporting, regulatory compliance, risk management, and effective coordination across internal departments for all export activities into the EU. Key Responsibilities

CBAM Compliance & Regulatory Management

  • Interpret and implement EU CBAM legislation and regulatory updates
  • Develop and maintain the company's CBAM compliance framework and internal policies
  • Prepare, review, and submit CBAM declarations in accordance with EU requirements
  • Manage CBAM certificates, carbon cost calculations, and compliance documentation
  • Ensure continuous compliance with CBAM reporting timelines and standards

Carbon, ESG & Emissions Management

  • Coordinate the collection of carbon emissions data from production and operational teams
  • Oversee emissions calculations using approved CBAM methodologies
  • Manage CBAM requirements for all EU export activities
  • Ensure alignment with international trade and export compliance regulations
  • Serve as the primary liaison with EU regulators, auditors, and verification bodies
  • Work closely with sustainability, operations, finance, legal, and supply chain teams
  • Provide CBAM training and awareness programs for internal stakeholders

Technical & Systems Competencies

  • Support internal data systems used for emissions management and regulatory reporting
  • Apply T24 administration experience to enterprise compliance workflows
  • Utilize JBoss programming knowledge for application support and reporting automation
  • Leverage Java skills as an additional advantage for system integration and optimization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, economics, or a related discipline
