Cashier at Sayed Farms Limited

Job Purpose

To efficiently handle sales transactions, cash management, and customer relationship activities while promoting and selling animal feed products to walk-in and assigned customers, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Cashier Functions

• Receive payments (cash, POS, transfers) for animal feed sales and issue official receipts
• Ensure accurate posting of all sales transactions into the sales and accounting system
• Reconcile daily sales, cash collections, POS, and bank transfers
• Prepare and submit daily sales and cash reports to Accounts
• Safeguard company funds and ensure zero cash shortages
• Maintain proper documentation for all transactions and sales invoices
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies and audit requirements

Sales & Customer Service Functions

• Attend to walk-in customers and promote available animal feed products
• Educate customers on appropriate feed types, usage, and benefits
• Support sales targets through effective customer engagement and upselling
• Maintain cordial relationships with existing customers and attract new ones
• Follow up on customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback
• Coordinate with warehouse and store staff to ensure timely product availability

Operational & Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate sales and customer records
• Monitor product movement to avoid revenue leakages
• Support inventory reconciliation between sales and stock
• Ensure adherence to company policies, ethics, and internal controls
• Perform any other duties assigned by management

Qualifications & Experience

• HND or BSc in Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum of 4–5 years' experience in cashiering and sales (feed mill, FMCG, or agribusiness preferred)
• Experience handling cash, POS, and bank transfers
• Basic knowledge of animal feed products
