Cashier

We are seeking a reliable, honest, and customer-focused Cashier to join our supermarket team. The Cashier will be responsible for accurate handling of sales transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring proper cash management in line with company policies. Key Responsibilities: - Accurately process customer purchases using POS systems - Receive cash, transfer confirmations, and other approved payment methods - Issue receipts and ensure correct pricing of items - Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift - Attend politely to customers and resolve basic complaints - Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the cashier area - Report cash shortages, excesses, or system issues immediately - Comply with supermarket policies and anti-fraud procedures - Support sales floor activities when required Requirements: & Qualifications - Minimum of SSCE / OND qualification - Previous experience as a cashier or in retail sales is an advantage - Basic knowledge of POS machines and cash handling - Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays - Good numerical and communication skills - High level of honesty, integrity, and attention to detail Skills: & Competencies - Customer service orientation - Accuracy and speed in cash handling - Ability to work under pressure - Good interpersonal skills - Team spirit and reliability
