Carpentry Production Supervisor

Reports To Factory Manager / Production Manager Supervises Carpenters, Machine Operators, Wood Assemblers, Apprentices Job Purpose To supervise and control all carpentry operations, ensuring sofa frames, beds, tables, and furniture carcasses are produced accurately, structurally sound, on time, and according to specification. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise daily carpentry activities and assign tasks per production plan - Ensure all frames meet approved design drawings and measurement specs - Enforce correct use of machines (cutting, routing, sanding, drilling) - Monitor wood quality, seasoning, joint strength, and assembly accuracy - Reduce wood waste and report material variance - Enforce safety rules and machine maintenance routines - Conduct first-level quality checks before items move to upholstery or finishing - Track daily output and report delays or issues immediately - Train carpenters on standard methods and line-production discipline KPIs - Daily output vs production target - Frame rejection or rework rate - Material waste percentage - Machine downtime incidents - Compliance with design specs Required Skills & Experience - 5–8 years carpentry experience (furniture manufacturing) - Strong understanding of joinery and frame construction - Ability to read drawings and production specs - Leadership and discipline management skills
