## Title: CAD Designer – Robotics

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Designer with experience in mechanical/mechatronics design to support the development of robotic systems. The successful candidate will work closely with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and software developers to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings for robotic components and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D technical drawings for robotic components, enclosures, mechanisms, and assemblies
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and functionality
  • Participate in design reviews and iterate on designs based on feedback from engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams
  • Maintain design documentation, version control, and compliance with internal CAD standards
  • Assist in rapid prototyping, 3D printing, and integration testing of designed components
  • Work with suppliers and fabrication partners to ensure design specifications are met
  • Ensure designs adhere to industry standards for safety, reliability, and performance

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics, or related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in CAD design, preferably in robotics, automation, or product development
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Autodesk Inventor
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerancing, GD&T, and materials
  • Experience working with sheet metal, plastics, machined parts, and additive manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for robotics, automation, or electromechanical systems
  • Familiarity with design-for-manufacture (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) principles
