## Title: Business Development Officer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Officer who understands the demands of field work, respects structure, and can transform relationships into revenue. You will be responsible for driving business growth across multiple channels while maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across retail and distributor channels
- Drive sales growth through hospitals, maternity homes, supermarkets, pharmacies, and other retail outlets
- Sign, onboard, and support distributors in assigned territories
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners
- Execute field marketing activities and approved promotional campaigns
- Submit daily activity reports, weekly plans, and monthly performance summaries
- Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer behavior
- Work closely with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely product delivery
Performance Expectations
- Monthly sales target of ₦4,000,000
- Minimum retail channel contribution of ₦700,000 monthly
- Consistent field engagement and disciplined reporting
- Minimum expectation of distributor growth, subject to market realities
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or field marketing
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and reporting discipline
- Familiarity with distributor and retail sales channels (advantageous)
- Integrity is non-negotiable
Remuneration and Benefits
- Monthly salary: ₦100,000
- Monthly transport allowance (subject to approved cap)
- 1% commission on confirmed personal sales upon achieving at least 80% of monthly target
