## Title: Business Development Manager – Solar (C&I Segment)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our solar business within the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing deals for rooftop, ground-mounted, and captive solar power plants for businesses, factories, hotels, and other commercial entities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical understanding of solar systems, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to build long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales Strategy

  • Develop and execute a strategic business plan to achieve sales targets and expand market share in the C&I solar segment
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, managing the entire cycle from prospecting to contract closure

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Actively engage with C-level executives, factory managers, facility managers, and business owners to understand their energy needs and challenges
  • Conduct professional presentations and proposals that clearly articulate the financial and operational benefits of solar solutions, including CAPEX, OPEX, and Lease/PPA models
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and repeat business

Technical Solutioning & Proposal Development

  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering and design teams to develop technically sound and commercially viable solar solutions
  • Lead the preparation of detailed techno-commercial proposals, including system design, energy yield assessment, financial modelling (ROI, NPV, Payback Period), and commercial terms
  • Oversee site assessments and evaluations
