## Title: Business Development Manager
About the Role
Voedsel Capital Limited is seeking a dedicated Business Development Manager to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will drive high-impact sales initiatives, manage credit assessments, and support clients with comprehensive financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact sales activities by identifying prospective clients, offering loans and financial solutions, and achieving monthly loan disbursement and Proof of Funds targets
- Conduct credit assessments and prepare appraisal reports according to prescribed guidelines, including desk reviews and onsite due diligence
- Make credit recommendations to the Credit & Business Development Manager
- Analyze financial data to assess creditworthiness and maintain comprehensive documentation of all credit cases for approval
- Capture Know Your Customer (KYC) data and financial information into the institutional credit management system
- Undertake portfolio management to identify default triggers, assess loan penalties, and implement measures to mitigate portfolio risk
- Initiate collection mechanisms and business recovery processes according to organizational policy
- Provide financial advice to clients to support their business and credit needs
- Prepare credit facility offer letters outlining terms, conditions, and covenants for managerial review
- Identify and document innovative approaches to improve business processes within the Credit and Business Development Department
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and effective market strategies
- Perform additional duties as assigned by your line manager
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent field
- 4–5 years of professional experience in banking, finance, or investment sector
- Previous experience as a Credit Officer or direct sales agent with strong knowledge of small business financing
- Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets
- Completion of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Outstanding reporting and documentation abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and similar tools)
- Strong financial analysis capabilities
