## Title: Business Development Executive

Role Overview

We are looking for a high-energy Business Development Executive to join our growth team. Your primary mission is to identify, engage, and secure participants in the HR space. This is a front-line role for a "hunter" who excels at cold outreach, relationship building, and closing deals in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Active Prospecting & Sales Execution

  • Generate new leads through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and networking
  • Convert prospects into confirmed sponsors and exhibitors for the annual summit
  • Pitch HR Expo Africa's value proposition to mid-to-senior level decision-makers
  • Consistently meet or exceed activity targets (calls/meetings) and monthly revenue goals

Pipeline & Relationship Management

  • Manage the end-to-end sales process from initial contact to contract signing
  • Nurture a database of prospective clients, ensuring timely follow-ups
  • Ensure a smooth hand-off to the operations team once a deal is closed to guarantee sponsor satisfaction

Market Outreach & Reporting

  • Conduct daily research on industry trends to find companies that align with our audience
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM
  • Provide regular updates to the team on pipeline status and market feedback

Event Support

  • Assist in onsite sales activities during the summits to secure early-bird renewals for the following year
  • Represent the brand at industry networking events to build a contact list

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or telemarketing (Events or Tech experience is a plus)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; comfortable pitching over the phone and in person
  • Resilience and ability to handle rejection while remaining persistent in follow-ups
  • Tech-savvy with experience using CRM tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
