## Title: Business Development Executive

About the Role

Derive Communications Systems & Engineering Limited is seeking a qualified Business Development Executive to drive growth and expand our client base. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and closing deals while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain the company's products, services, and solutions to prospective clients
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate strong relationships with decision-makers to secure projects and expand the client base
  • Act as the company's "eyes and ears" in the marketplace by gathering intelligence on industry trends, client challenges, and competitor activities
  • Provide valuable market insights to the engineering and R&D teams to keep offerings competitive
  • Explore new market sectors and opportunities for strategic growth (e.g., expansion from civil engineering to renewable energy projects)
  • Form strategic alliances with other firms and develop new service lines
  • Drive sales growth by meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals in alignment with company policies and profitability goals
  • Contribute directly to revenue generation and ensure the company's financial sustainability and growth
  • Maintain meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure retention
  • Attend networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to grow business
  • Familiarize yourself with all products and services offered by the company

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in sales and business development
  • Experience in engineering or technical industries preferred
  • Experience in oil & gas sector is an added advantage
  • Strong communication skills
