Department/Division: Corrosion Control Reports To:Coating Foreman Position Overview: Blasters & Painters perform surface preparation via abrasive blasting and apply industrial coatings to steel structures. Key Responsibilities: - Operate blasting equipment to remove rust/old paint. - Clean surfaces using power tools or solvents. - Mix paints according to manufacturer instructions. - Apply coatings using brush, roller, or airless spray guns. - Maintain cleaning of spray equipment. Required Qualifications: - SSCE/WAEC. - Trade Test I, II, III. Experience: Requirements - Minimum 3 years experience. Technical Skills & Competencies - Proficient in spray gun handling. - Knowledge of pot life and induction times. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Uniformity of coating thickness. - Safety adherence. Working Conditions - Requires wearing full protective hoods and suits. Physical Requirements - Ability to hold high-pressure blast hoses.
