## Title: Biomedical Engineer
About the Role
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Biomedical Engineer. In this role, you will maintain biomedical equipment, provide technical support to customers, and contribute to service excellence across your assigned area.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain all models specific to assigned modalities in the given area
- Perform system-level troubleshooting to reduce equipment downtime
- Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient service delivery to customers within the assigned area
- Order and manage repair parts and cycle times
- Maintain interface with doctors and operators on equipment status issues to ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist in sales visits, help train others where necessary, and identify sales opportunities to communicate to the sales team
- Identify and participate in sales opportunities such as new contracts and contract renewals as they arise
- Manage warranty and CMC cost control and equipment uptime
- Implement Field Change Orders (FCOs) on time
- Complete all administration tasks on time, including Service/Installation Reports and Travel Requests
- Complete all planned Quality and Compliance training within defined deadlines
- Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment
- Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment and Environment, Health, and Safety requirements
- Complete all assigned product training
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (or equivalent) in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Instrumentation (minimum Second Class Upper division)
- Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting X-Ray/CT systems
- Experience servicing X-Ray/CT equipment is preferred
- Technical and analytical skills with a minimum of 2 years of field services experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Willingness to travel on short notice
