Baker / Pastry Chef at Tulips and Lilies Confectionery

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Baker/Pastry Chef to join our team at our confectionery bakery. You will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods, pastries, and desserts while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Bake all cakes, pastries, and desserts according to established recipes and specifications
• Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to produce baked goods
• Prepare frostings and other finishing elements for bakery products
• Participate in designing and improving recipes
• Conduct research to develop new, self-originated recipes
• Test ingredients and finished goods to ensure all items meet food safety requirements
• Assess the quality of raw materials before baking begins
• Liaise with the store keeper for documentation of all raw materials used in the kitchen and stored in the freezer
• Take client information from the administrative officer and ensure specifications are met accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, ensuring all equipment is properly prepared for order execution
• Properly handle and store baking utensils and equipment
• Direct and supervise the assistant baker's activities to ensure products meet quality standards
• Track profitability by maintaining up-to-date records of baking operations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum OND qualification
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar baking or pastry chef role

Location Requirement
