  • Puff & Glaze Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled, creative, and detail-driven Baker to join our fast-growing Kitchen team.
  • This role requires someone with strong hands-on experience in artisanal baking, a passion for product excellence, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities: Baking & Production:
  • Prepare high-quality Cakes, and other baked goods according to approved recipes and production standards.
  • Mix, proof, shape, bake, and decorate baked products consistently to meet daily production targets.
  • Ensure proper measurement of ingredients and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Create new pastry ideas and seasonal specials to enhance product variety.
Quality & Food Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure all baked goods meet Puff & Glaze quality standards in taste, appearance, and freshness.
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety practices in compliance with NAFDAC and HACCP guidelines.
  • Monitor production areas for cleanliness, equipment functionality, and proper storage conditions.
Kitchen Operations & Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Production Supervisor and Head Chef to meet daily targets and manage workflow efficiently.
  • Assist in training junior kitchen staff in baking techniques and kitchen standards.
  • Provide input on ingredient usage, inventory levels, and production planning.
Inventory & Cost Control:
  • Track ingredients, minimise waste, and ensure timely reporting of shortages.
  • Support cost control measures by ensuring proper portioning, recipe compliance, and efficient use of raw materials.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Develop new recipes, flavours, and product lines that align with modern bakery trends.
  • Constantly improve baking techniques, equipment handling, and kitchen processes for better efficiency.
Requirements: & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef in a bakery, hotel, restaurant, or food production company.
  • Strong knowledge of dough preparation, pastry techniques, glazing, fillings, toppings, and temperature control.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and shift schedules when required.
  • Excellent sense of taste, creativity, and attention to detail.
