About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Backend Engineer to join our growing fintech team in Yaba, specializing in cryptocurrency trading, gift card redemption, and digital payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems and APIs to support web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams to implement new features
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of backend services
• Work on blockchain and Web3 integrations to support fintech operations
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong experience with PHP and Node.js backend development
• Knowledge of Web3 technologies and blockchain integration
• Experience in the finance or fintech industry is highly desirable
• Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and cloud services
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Proximity to Yaba is an added advantage
