Automobile Technician – Wheel Alignment & Balancing Specialist

Position Overview

Fatgbems Petroleum Company Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automobile Technician specializing in wheel alignment and tire balancing. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, and correcting vehicle wheel alignment and balance issues to ensure safe handling, smooth driving, and extended tire life.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform wheel alignment (front-end, four-wheel, and thrust alignment) using computerized alignment equipment
• Conduct tire balancing (static and dynamic) to eliminate vibration and uneven tire wear
• Inspect tires, wheels, suspension, and steering components for wear or damage
• Diagnose vehicle handling problems such as pulling, vibration, or uneven tire wear
• Adjust camber, caster, and toe settings to manufacturer specifications
• Mount, dismount, and rotate tires as required
• Maintain alignment and balancing equipment in proper working condition
• Follow safety procedures and workshop standards at all times
• Accurately document work performed and report additional repair needs to supervisors or customers
• Provide basic customer explanations regarding alignment and tire issues when required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Automobile Technology or related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in wheel alignment and tire balancing
• Knowledge of suspension and steering systems
• Ability to read and interpret alignment specifications and technical manuals
• Familiarity with computerized alignment machines and wheel balancers
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Physically fit to handle workshop tasks
• Basic communication and teamwork skills
