Audit Manager (Lagos and Abuja) at Olakleen Holdings Limited

About the Role

The Audit Manager ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation. You will maintain internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires, and recommending new policies and procedures. You will communicate audit findings by preparing comprehensive reports, discussing results with the Head of Audit, and presenting findings to the GMD.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain, analyse, and evaluate accounting documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts, and related materials
• Prepare and present reports that reflect audit results and document the audit process
• Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and achievement of organizational goals
• Identify control loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings opportunities
• Maintain open communication with management and the audit committee
• Document processes and prepare audit findings memorandums
• Conduct follow-up audits to monitor management's interventions and corrective actions
• Collate, check, and analyse spreadsheet data and examine company accounts and financial control systems
• Gauge levels of financial risk within the organization
• Verify that financial reports and records are accurate and reliable
• Ensure that organizational assets are safeguarded
• Identify process deficiencies and advise on necessary changes
• Prepare reports, commentaries, and financial statements
• Ensure procedures, policies, legislation, and regulations are correctly followed and complied with
• Perform other functions as assigned by the Head of Audit
