## Title: Associate Counsel, Litigation

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Associate Counsel (Litigation). This role offers the opportunity to represent clients across various dispute resolution forums and develop expertise in complex litigation matters within a professional legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in courts, tribunals, and other dispute resolution forums
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, motions, written addresses, and briefs
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare well-reasoned opinions and memoranda
  • Attend court proceedings and manage case files through all stages of litigation
  • Liaise with external counsel, regulatory bodies, and government agencies when necessary
  • Provide strategic advice to clients and firm management on litigation risks and dispute resolution strategies
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) proceedings
  • Maintain accurate case records, ensure timely filings, and uphold procedural compliance
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates and legal interns where applicable

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of 5–6 years post-call experience in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department, with strong exposure to litigation and dispute resolution
  • Proven track record of handling court matters independently
  • Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and interpersonal abilities
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
