## Title: Assistant Supermarket Manager
About the Role
An established company is recruiting for an Assistant Supermarket Manager to lead store operations and drive business growth in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
- Direct store operations including retail operations, customer service, employee management, and sales
- Develop business strategies to expand customer base, increase store traffic, and optimize profitability
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
- Bring out the best in branch personnel through training, coaching, development, and motivation
- Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Manage gross profit, inventory, and store administration while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits, and store activities
Required Qualifications
- BSc Degree or HND in Business Administration or relevant field
- Minimum of three years of managerial experience in the retail industry
- Proven experience running and managing a supermarket
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Numerical skills and technical competence
- Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High integrity and professional conduct
