## Title: Assistant Supermarket Manager
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Daytona 247 People's Pharmacy and Supermarket in Lagos as an Assistant Supermarket Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed sales targets
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
- Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
- Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths
- Direct store operations including retail operations, customer service, employee management, and sales
- Develop business strategies to expand the customer base, increase store traffic, and optimize profitability
- Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
- Complete store administration and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
- Bring out the best in branch personnel through training, coaching, development, and motivation
- Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
- Maintain acceptable gross profit margins, manage inventory properly, and report on store activities
- Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits, and other relevant metrics
Requirements
- BSc or HND in Business Administration or a relevant field
- Minimum of three years of managerial work experience in the retail industry
- Proven experience running and managing a supermarket
- Customer service-oriented mindset with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and strong numerical skills
- Demonstrable skills and technical competence
- High integrity and ethical standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
