## Title: Assistant Production Manager
About the Role
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to support production operations in a furniture manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Production Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily production operations
- Supervise factory floor staff (carpenters, upholsterers, finishers, machine operators) to ensure productivity and quality output
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of furniture orders
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and workplace standards within the workshop
- Coordinate raw material usage and support inventory control to minimize waste and downtime
- Conduct routine quality checks on finished and in-process furniture to ensure adherence to company standards
- Assist in implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce production costs
- Prepare basic production reports (daily output, downtime, material usage) for management review
- Support maintenance planning for machines and tools to reduce breakdowns
- Liaise with design, sales, and logistics teams to align production with order requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
- OND / HND / B.Sc. in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment (furniture or woodwork industry is a strong advantage)
- Practical knowledge of furniture production processes (carpentry, finishing, upholstery, assembly)
- Strong people management and supervisory skills
