## Title: Asset and Liability Manager

About the Role

Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Asset & Liability Manager (ALM) to join their Treasury team. This role is critical in managing the firm's balance sheet exposures, liquidity position, and funding strategies, ensuring optimal alignment between assets and liabilities. You will provide strong analytical support to the trading team, mitigate risks, and contribute directly to the firm's overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute ALM strategies that support the firm's trading and investment objectives
  • Monitor and optimize liquidity positions, interest rate risk, and funding requirements across portfolios
  • Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and treasury teams to manage both short-term cash flows and long-term funding structures
  • Ensure full compliance with relevant local and international regulatory requirements relating to ALM, liquidity, and capital adequacy
  • Provide the trading desk with insightful risk and performance analysis that enhances profitability while minimizing exposure to market and liquidity risks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as ICAN are an added advantage

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 7–10 years' experience in Asset & Liability Management, Treasury, or Balance Sheet Management, preferably within asset management, investment banking, or capital markets
  • Strong background in trading desk operations, liquidity management, and risk management
  • Proven track record of developing and executing complex ALM strategies in a fast-paced environment
