Architect / Quality Assurance (QA) / Quality Control (QC) Officer at Joe Etoniru & Associates

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. Responsibilities - Prepare architectural drawings, working drawings, and construction details using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software. - Develop conceptual designs, schematics, and layout plans for new and ongoing projects. - Review and interpret architectural drawings, and specifications for accuracy and completeness. - Participate in project planning, design presentations, and design coordination meetings. - Advise the project team on materials, finishes, and design alternatives. - Conduct site visits to ensure the project aligns with design intent. - Collaborate with structural, MEP, and other consultants to resolve design conflicts. - Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and safety requirementx - Develop, implement, and maintain the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control plan. - Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards. - Monitor construction work at all stages: foundation, blockwork, concrete pours, steel works, roofing, finishes, etc. - Prepare QA/QC checklists and ensure adherence by contractors and site teams. - Review materials delivered to site and ensure they meet required standards and specifications. - Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and ensure closure with corrective actions. - Maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, test reports, and site diaries. - Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality standards are upheld. - Ensure all construction stages undergo proper testing and inspection (slump test, concrete cube tests, waterproofing tests, etc.). - Conduct weekly quality review meetings with the project team. Requirement - Bachelor’s degree in architecture (B.Sc. - Membership or student membership of ARCON, NIA, or related bodies (added advantage) - Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in architecture and site supervision - Experience in QA/QC in construction is highly desired.
