Position Overview

Ascentech Services Limited is seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to design, build, deploy, and maintain machine learning models in production environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working across the full ML lifecycle and can translate complex business problems into scalable AI solutions that drive measurable impact.

Compensation & Work Arrangement

Salary: ₦500,000 – ₦900,000 monthly
Work Mode: Onsite
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement machine learning models and algorithms for production use
• Build and deploy ML pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, feature engineering, and model serving
• Develop APIs and interfaces for model deployment and integration with applications
• Monitor and retrain models in production as part of an MLOps workflow
• Work with structured and unstructured data across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, and business stakeholders to define requirements and KPIs

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in production ML development
• Strong proficiency in Python, pandas, NumPy, and ML frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
• Demonstrated experience with the complete ML lifecycle: problem framing, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
• Experience building models for recommendation systems, forecasting, classification, NLP, or computer vision
• Experience with cloud-based ML deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with API development and microservice-based model serving
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
