An established company in the fast-paced FMCG industry is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Officer to join their team in Lagos.
Position Overview
The Administrative Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations, and supporting the company's production and distribution activities. You will play a key role in coordinating activities across departments, handling office tasks, and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations, including managing office supplies, organizing records, and ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the workplace
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory, shipments, and waste management; prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports for management
- Assist in onboarding new employees, maintaining employee records, and supporting HR functions; handle employee queries related to administrative issues efficiently
- Act as liaison between departments, communicating information regarding schedules, meetings, and tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure all administrative activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and health and safety standards in office and production areas
- Support the Operations Manager in implementing and streamlining operational processes, identifying bottlenecks, and offering solutions to improve efficiency
- Address customer inquiries and complaints related to administrative and product delivery matters, ensuring high standards of service and satisfaction
- Create and update office policies and procedures to enhance productivity
- Supervise office security guards and cleaners
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
