A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent. D. Adegoke Legal is a newly launched but fast-growing law firm based in Lagos, providing corporate, property, and general legal services. The firm is built on structure, discipline, confidentiality, and excellence. We are seeking a highly competent Admin / Legal Secretary who can take ownership of office administration, enforce systems, make sound decisions, and support the firm’s growth from inception. This role is not for beginners. It requires maturity, confidence, and the ability to stand firm on rules and processes. Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall administrative control and coordination of the law office, including but not limited to:
  • Acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and official inquiries.
  • Managing the reception area and ensuring a professional office atmosphere at all times.
  • Scheduling and tracking client appointments, court dates, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Opening, organizing, and maintaining client files (both physical and digital).
  • Keeping accurate daily records of:
  • Clients received
  • Matters handled
  • Fees billed and payments received
  • Monitoring lawyers’ attendance, punctuality, and task execution, and reporting accordingly.
  • Typing, formatting, and managing legal documents, correspondence, and filings.
  • Coordinating court filing logistics and document dispatch.
  • Tracking all inflows and outflows related to office administration and client payments.
  • Preparing weekly operational and activity reports for the Managing Partner.
  • Ensuring strict confidentiality of client information and compliance with legal ethics.
  • Managing office inventory, stationery, and administrative supplies.
  • Liaising with cleaners, vendors, and service providers.
  • Supporting the coordination of client interviews, meetings, and internal conferences.
Required Qualifications: & SKILLS
  • Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc in Administration, Secretarial Studies, Law, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years’ proven experience in a law firm or structured professional office
(understanding of legal documentation and law office culture is mandatory).
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping, and time-management skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, emotional intelligence, and professionalism.
  • Confident, assertive, and able to enforce rules and processes without fear.
  • Good computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, email, PDF handling.
